Come chill with Zethe this Valentine’s Day at Suncoast

Cava The Love – Durban jazz songstress, Zethembiso Mdletshe (better known as Zethe) will be performing at Suncoast Casino, Hotels & Entertainment on Valentine’s Day, this Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm!

A budding jazz singer who holds a degree in Music majoring in Jazz from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Howard College), Zethe has already performed on various stages around the province, such as The Centre for Jazz & Popular Music, The Jazzy Rainbow, The Durban Playhouse and The Chairman just to name a few. A lover of jazz, Zethe says she has always loved music since she was a child.

“I fell in love with music from about the age of 15 – I think I inherited my voice from my mom, who used to be an opera singer,” Zethe says. “By the time I started varsity I knew that jazz would be my major.”

Some of her musical influences include greats such as the likes of South Africa’s very own, the late Brenda Fassie, American vocalist Lalah Hathaway and Nigerian French singer Asa. “If I’m relaxing though, I love nothing better than to put on my headphones and chill to the sounds of British singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Lianne La Havas,” Zethe says.

Zethe resonantly released a single in October last year and is currently furthering her studies to become a music teacher so that she can forward her love of music to others. “A dream would be to collaborate, be a supporting act for, or perform with, award-winning artists like Jill Scott or Black Coffee.”

Zethe will be performing at Suncoast Casino, Hotels & Entertainment’s East Coast Radio stage from 6pm to 8pm, Sunday Beats are free and suitable for the entire family.
